On Friday, I really should have been dealing with this:
Instead... I talked Patch into a bit of this!
He really is a good sport! He gives me about 9 or 10 minutes in Spotlight before he starts saying, "Muuuuuuum..... Can we get out of this place???" He was quite happy at home to pass me the pins though. I even let him sit under the table sometimes and press the sewing machine foot!
We had a very productive morning. Four sets of pyjamas are ready for Autumn. The pants were all made using the Snug As a Bug PJ's pattern from my
Make It Perfect book. It only goes up to a size 5 (which I made for Patch) so I had to cut them a little longer and wider for Milly. They are HUGE on both of them so should do us a couple of years.
You can see I cheated and bought the t-shirts. I just can't be bothered to go there when you can get really good quality plain t-shirts that are very pyjama-like for $5 from Target. I did dress Miss Milly's up with some pretty applique.
All the fabric came from Spotlight. The yellow one on the right is the new
Lisette fabric - the lady in Spotlight was literally unpacking the box as I was there. The range is beautiful and was on sale for $10 a metre! I will definitely go back for some more - I have two Lisette patterns that I bought ages ago that I am keen to play with.
It has been all quiet on the sewing front for a very long time but the footy season is about to start so I think I may be back in sewing action!
Here is Patchy in his skeleton PJ's. He couldn't wait for Autumn. XO
